Something good must have happened this week #R2BC

This is turning into a really horrible week.  I have been writing about it, but have not pressed publish yet.  I know that I've been cranky all over the place, and I hope that the people affected will forgive me.  To try and keep myself going I have dug out some reasons to be cheerful - there are always some.  And I hope that any Facebook friends reading this will forgive me if any of these seem familiar.

New tiles: I'd known there was a problem with the tiles in Smiley's shower for a good while.  The bulging effect gave it away.   But of course it wasn't until they started actually falling off the wall that I banned showers and started pleading for help.  My friend's BIL arrived again, took one look, shook his head, and said "these will have to go" and down they all came.  So the downstairs shower has been more or less out of bounds for the past week while it dried out.  I was starting to panic this week as poor Smiley could only get the occasional shower in school, so I was delighted when the job got finished last night.

Comfort eating: I'm still using the slimpod kindly given to me by thinking slimmer.  It's helping me to get to sleep, but I've stopped worrying about what to eat for now, and that meant I felt able to slip into a coffee shop in town yesterday and enjoy a pecan slice and a very large cappuccino for my lunch for the recession price of €3.50, baaad, but oh so good.

Retail therapy: On the same trip to town I bought myself another pair of lovely boots: the pair I was so happy with last year have fallen apart *sigh*.

Friends and family: great support as usual from friends and family - my brother stayed last weekend and helped out once again, and my darling daughter is going to bring me out to see The Hunger Games, something we'll both enjoy.

Twitter: I reached 1000 followers!  How I'm not quite sure...

Plan: I have a plan to make things better and I'm going to start right now.

Disclaimer: this is not a sponsored post as thinking slimmer have not so far asked for anything in return for giving to me a slimpod.

Sorry to hear you've been having a bad week *hugs* but it's always so lovely to focus on the positives like this and what great things. Glad Smileys shower is all sorted :)

I have to admit, I'm SO excited by The Hungers Games film - I've read the books and loved them (even at the age of 37!).

Hope you have a lovely weekend xx

You know sometimes there is just nothing better than hitting the food and stores HARD. You have to take care of you and sometimes when you're in the midst of it it's the hardest thing to do of all.

But things are looking up--shower's fixed, new boots and 1,000---thats awesome!!!

Sometimes it's OK to just say that life isn't being kind to you. I think it's admirable that you're still looking at the positives in your life - I'd be wallowing in self pity for sure (I always do though!).
I hope you're having lots of support from your friends and are able to see light at the end of the tunnel. Words just don't seem enough when times are hard for someone like you, because your life has enough challenges without added pressures. I'll shut up now because I'm just making everything worse! Sorry!

I hope you have a great time at the cinema with your daughter!
The last film I had the pleasure of watching was Alvin and the Chipmunks - Chipwrecked!
